This article delves into how hackers are exploiting AI and outlines potential cases with real-world examples, along with strategies to counter these emerging threats.

AI-Powered Malware and Phishing Attacks:


Hackers are increasingly employing AI to develop sophisticated malware and phishing attacks that can evade traditional cybersecurity defences. In 2020, researchers demonstrated an AI-powered system capable of autonomously identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in web applications.


Countermeasure: Employing robust software development practices, such as secure coding standards and regular vulnerability assessments, can help identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Additionally, deploying intrusion detection systems capable of detecting anomalous activities indicative of exploit attempts can bolster defence mechanisms.

The proliferation of AI technology presents unprecedented opportunities for innovation and advancement, but it also introduces new challenges and risks in the realm of cybersecurity.
